I try to do a hard reset for my M700 due the error of the pass jey after my device went out of battery, but after pressing the pwr and reset, then selecting yes, open a new question and does not allows to sy yes, any idea or maybe I am missing one button or I am doing things wrong_ thanks

BTW I found my error, you must continue pressing the yes button, if you only press it once, this will not do the miracle...still learning...

You have to press and hold the left (yes) soft key for a sec or two to say yes.

I was demonstrating my e700 to a friend and inserted his "Rogers, Canada" SIm into my M700, when the M700 started it asked for my password, as it usually does, but this time it told me that the password I entered, which is my regular password is incorrect. I removed the friend SIM and re-inserted my own SIM, however the problem is still there. It is telling me that the password is incorrect.
I am at the point now where it makes me wait for 2 hours before I can try another password. I am also unable to do a hard reset, I do not get the question to delete all data, the device automatically boots and brings me back to the password screen and makes me wait for the timer to run out before I am able to enter a password again, which it now still tells me it is incorrect.

I have all my stuff backed up, and would love to be able to perform a hard reset and restore facory status, but I an not do that. can anyone help??

I am using an Etn M700 upgraded to WM6.0

Thank you in advance.

Pierre

The only way I know is to do a hard reset cause thats what I had to do.
I don't think at this point there is any way you can get it back cause the password is a binary code at this point from system junk and you can not guess it. So the only way out of it is to do a hard reset.

Sorry forgot to mention you need to press and hold the red Hang up key to do the hard reset after doing the above process.

COLD BOOT FREEZE
I press the "power" button plus the "reset" button at the same time. Then I press the red phone button, wait a few seconds then a window appears asking if I want to "erase all data and load default?" I press "Yes" and hold button down till the count down seconds disappear and changes to "yes". And doesn't shut down but stays on all the time.

That’s where it locks up on me and goes no further. I owe a :
