Nice one...
In case it helps, I installed the cab file into my Axim x51v (yes, I was shaking :fishsmack: ). It now has an application called "HTC SDHC", which can also be uninstalled (not sure what happens if you do that but I guess it will bring everything back to what it was?). My 4GB (non SDHC) SD card still works fine with this installed.
Anybody having a SDHC and willing to try on a Glofiish?

But did IAN8888 try the 4GB SD after installing this new SDHC driver that is discussed here? It looks like his posts are before the discovery of this new driver...

After installing this software, I have just used an external reader to copy my plain (full) 2GB card to a 4GB SDHC card AND ADDED a further 1000 music tracks, making nearly 4GB in all.
IT SEEMS TO WORK in my X500
I don't know what bugs might be present yet, so if you do decide to use it, at your own risk !
Congratulations to user "ckingho" for finding this "holy grail" software !

Works for me too. So far.
Bought my 500+ with 4GB MicroSD Card in June in Sweden.
The card didn't work. Bought a 2GB MicroSD Card which worked fine 'til a couple of weeks ago when I started to get plagued by the missing and or corrupted files and folders syndrome - well, twice anyway.
Was considering aKingston card instead.
The new driver came just in time, but.... I'll be keeping a card backup on my pc this time round - just in case.
Cheers, Greg

i think the best way to know if the drivers are ok, is to install: Pocket mechanic Pro and to run some test like: card benchmark and Lack analyses..
I have installed the driver on my X500+ but i don't have a SDHC card tot test..
i will wait for the 8 gig from samsung!

Unfortunately I've not got Pocket Mechanic, but I shall certainly keep using the card and see how it goes.
Of particular interest is whether there is any adverse effect on power management, especially bearing in mind that the drivers appear to have been originally written for different hardware.

To read/write (including formatting) SDHC cards on a PC, I use a SanDisk ImageMate 5 in 1 card reader. This seems to handle the specific formatting required of SDHC cards. Toshiba have clearly supplied a USB adaptor with their own card for the same purpose.
I don't know if the Axim x51c is SDHC-enabled. Is it claimed to be so by the manufacturer ?
Try the Wiki for more detailed data on SDHC.
