Has anyone tried this on their X800? I'm currently using TomTom 6, but this sound like a very nice package. When I go to their site and check for compatibility I can see Eten but not the X800
Navigon MobileNavigator v6.5 for PDA
PDA | 52 MB
Navigation software - a far too complicated term to describe our easy-to-use and intuitive MobileNavigator 6.
The MobileNavigator family's many excellent test results are also reflected in the latest version. Its additional innovations offer more mobility than ever before. Driving safety and ease of use have increased without affecting the simple and straightforward user guidance.
And the interface graphics are no less impressive than the user guidance. Both are brilliant. With your destination in view and the certainty of reaching it safely you can enjoy driving like never before. And once you have arrived, MobileNavigator 6 becomes the ideal companion, pointing you towards special destinations such as restaurants, hotels, theatres and museums in seconds. A city that was unfamiliar moments ago is suddenly transformed into an exciting, vibrant metropolis with unlimited options.
Excellent user interface
Look and understand. Easy, comprehensible steps make the navigation application more user-friendly than ever before.
Variable destination input
In addition to road names, MobileNavigator 6 also knows specific destinations. Worldwide destinations such as restaurants, hotels, museums, attractions and shopping centres are stored in memory and just waiting to be discovered.
Voice Input
MobileNavigator 6 understands the spoken word. Save your destinations acoustically and start navigation by voice command. No more time-consuming keystrokes and you enjoy more safety and driving comfort. (Device dependent)
"Take me home" Function
It's great when the destination is "Home". Even better when you are guided there at the simple touch of a button.
Route Planner
Time is expensive. Plan your route efficiently in advance. The route planner calculates how much time you need for all or part of the route. Appointments and departure times can then be planned ideally into your daily schedule.
Destination from Address Book
Transfer addresses from your Pocket PC or Mobile Phone into the destination input of MobileNavigator 6 and start to navigate.
For anyone who wants to give it a go here's where to download....no maps yet, I'm still looking for them, no promises but I'll post links when I find them.

installed ng65 with usa-can map but, it's slow and crashes alot. I found a file that is supposed to speed pda's up, but when I install it, navigon will not start up at all.
Anyone know a fix?
It's looks like a good program; with voice command and reality view.

Hello,
you can't use the fix because its removes file for the screens in higher defenition (vga) and the x800 use the vga .so it wil be faster on a Qvga screen
I didn' know that there was a official 6.5 version for the pda (can't find anything on it on the navigon site either) the version that i used was 6.2 upgraded for better memory use and renamed 6.5.1 but still is 6.2 maybe this is the same version?
but i'm going to try this verison also to see if this one is better or the same one.

I found the maps on usenet. "USA-CAN Q2 2008 map + rv" on a.b.w.pocketpc.gps.
It's about 1.7gig. The RV stands for reality view. I'd love to see that...
Yeah, I read about the fix last night and it's kills vga. I also read that navigon is a memory hog. It should have around 30mb to run otherwise you cannot map routes. Hopefully that's wrong but, I cannot get past the setup screens into the map itself to find out. I only have about 20mb tops with the software I'm running currently. Maybe there's a way around it. Let me know how the QVGA runs.

Hi !
I have a problem with this version of MN 6 (in fact 6.5 Build 747).
All is working, but the soft don't stop to caclulate the way. GPS is ok, graphics are ok, all is ok, but not the calculating part.
Has anyone this problem ? I tried all possible options, but the problem is still here.

Out of curiosity I have installed MN6 on my X800. And it seems to be working fine. It starts. I can plan a route. I can connect to the GPS receiver. Unfortunately the interface is in German and I haven't figured out how to set it in English.
I occasionally chose two points in Austria and was able to plan a route. When I tried to navigate I got an error because my actual location was not covered by the map.
But, anyway, the program did not freeze anything.
Skenderbeggar,
Could you explain in detail how to download the USA map?

I managed to get Navigon to run (sort of) on my X800 with a lot of tweaking but trust me when I say, don't bother. It's using way to much memory to be a viable alternative. Programs that work or can be made to work perfectly on our X800 are:
TomTom
Garmin Mobile XT
Igo (8), might demand a few tweaks and a X800 firmware like Panot's for memory but it's my overall favourite although I have all three installed and use all of them.
