Recommended patches (updated 01.10.2008):
FISH_X500_X500PLUS_KEYBD7 - keyboard patch, removed keys lags, keys backlight can be turned off,
FISH_TOUCHDRV3 - When you press touch screen, you have 80-90% CPU load. This update fix this problem and you will have only 15% CPU load instead of 80-90%,
KR KrAudioDrv_x5m7 - Audiopatch tested on v2.0, v2.1, v2.2, v2.3 (works good)

AudioDrv500+ - increases headset sound volume (not tested with v1.9, v2.0, v2.1, v2.2, v2.3)
RaviK_SoundMix - sound mixer - install this if you have installed AudioDrv (not tested with v1.9, v2.0, v2.1, v2.2, v2.3)

Installed AudioDrv and you have problems with silent BT headset? look HERE

I don't recommend doing a restore on a different version of an OS. I REALLY recommend you spend the time to simply install each program manually in order to avoid any possible incompatibilities from the old ROM being transferred over to your new ROM. It will take you more time that way but I think your device will run better if go that route. All those back-up progams work well but not when you flash your rom. SPB, Sprite and whatever back-up apps work all well if you just want to play around with apps and return if you don't like them.

Thx for your tests, i will look into it later today. I will try to remove Office permanently from ROM, never using it, more space in ROM memory.

Hello Lorbas,
thank you for such a great ROM. I've been testing the v1 and so far no problem besides Office apps. I'm getting ready to upgrade (?) to v 1.1 soon.
So far I only have one suggestion. Is there a way you could possibly upgrade the NetCF from version 2 to 3.5?
Also, I would be interested in knowing what 'fixes' you have added (i.e. Touch screen driver any registry modifications, etc)

I just have made v1.2 version with NetCF 3.5, but how do i know that WM6.1 works properly with this 3.5 version? sorry for stupid question but im just begginer ROM cooker :badteeth: systems seems to work normally like before, is there some special programs that using new NetCF? Why you want to have this 3.5 NetCF in ROM ken_shin33?

I'm not sure whether WM6.1 works properly with NetCF3.5 or not, but here is something I DO know. KVA's v9 ROM has NetCF 3.5 in it and has not caused any problems for me. Btw, you said that your ROM is based on KVA's ROM, correct? which version did you use to build it? I was a little surprised that NetCF 3.5 was not already implemented.

To be honest with you, there is no particular reason as to why I want NetCF 3.5 in the ROM as of yet. I just thought it would be a good idea because it seems to matter for a lot of other users out there ;)

Build is from xda forum and OS is from chinese forum (about Dopod D900).

Have you tried SoftMaker Office 2008 beta yet? Perhaps it could be a solution for you.
I have yet to try it myself, but I will be flashing my ROM with v1.2 and will be installing SoftMaker Office. Will report how it works for me.
