Hello,

I've just got my X800 but when I try to update it either thru Vista, XP or SD-card it says:
"OS Image is NOT compatible wit"

Im getting really pissed since I've in desperat need of a phone, but I dont want to use it if I cant upgdate it? :frakintoaster:

Can it really be true that it cant be updated or what do I have to do?

You have to format the card to FAT32 from windows and then you can try to update with SD-Card Method

My problem too, I'm updating from:
A42 USA 040 0363
to
042 WWE

Tried USB and SD card methods. Both the same result.

Has this problem been figured out? Thanks!

Okay, I just did it over the USB. Here's what I did.

Download http://eten-users.eu...showtopic=12107 EUUs.zip there, extract the contained EUUs.exe and keep it somewhere (Your desktop maybe?) make another copy of it and rename it to EUU.exe

Open c:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp

I suggest deleting everything in here before you start to make keeping track of things easier.

Start the rom update, in my case: X800200712071606131197014756XP.EXE copy EUUs.exe to that directory.

Once the ROM Update program creates EUU.exe delete that and replace it with the one on your desktop (The one we renamed from EUUs.exe)

Continue the update as normal. If you run into any problems let me know.

Just finished it, A42 040 0402 WWE Yay! On to the patches and trying this baby out.

Note: I don't know if the device normally reboots itself when it's done but on mine it froze at 100% and I just gave it half an hour and pulled the battery. Have fun!

Hi,

I also would like to convert my dutch version (NLD) into WWE.
I just wonder if it is legal, and supported by ETEN.

I use "unbrick" method to flash ROM in other language (mine is taiwan machine, flashed different ROMs in this forum)

dont scared by the name "unbrick" , it just "force" the rom to flash into x800

The original value doesn't matter
different ROM have different value ( from my experience )

just change $38 to "0A 3D 72 F4"

You saying that no matter which ROM I am going to flash (as long as base ROM 452 or 473 )
for example for 473 panot rom ver 2.0 like i remember!
i take the temp.dat change the value at $38 to "0A 3D 72 F4"
then copy it to SD card end flash without the message: OS Image is NOT compatible wit????

i am asked regarding SD because with PC i flashed without problem
but PC flashing is very risky so I prefer to flashed with SD!!!

that's right (also rename temp.dat to temp.bin)

I couldn't guarantee anything
but that's what I did to flash Adonix / Panot / PhamQuang (few other rom) into my x800 using microSD

I'm using Adonix 3.0
I love Panot's but "BT sync" doesn't work since Panot 2.0 (the same problem as http://eten-users.eu...p;#entry103247)
